Food has just mixed its 6th record. The record contains two concerts with two different guests, Christian Fennesz (AU) and Nils Petter Molvær and will be out on ECM in May 2010.
Needlepoint will be out with a new record "The woods are not what they seem" on BJK- Records on March 15th. Releaseconcert will be at Vossajazz.
Mats Eilertsen, Harmen Franje (NL) and myself recorded a lovely piano- trio record to be released on Humbro/ Grappa in fall 2010.

Humcrush is working on a new live- recording with Sidsel Endresen. The record will contain material from 10 different venues around Europe.
Meadow, the new band with John Taylor (UK) and Tore Brunborg has just done a recording in Rainbow Studios for the new Hecca Records. Release nov 30th. !!
Maria Kannegaard and myself will release a postrock duo recording under the name Billy Fy on Jazzland Rec. this fall.

I about to finnish my second solo record/ Pohlitz for Rune Grammofon this month.
This year Maria Kannegaard and myself will release a duo artrock album. Humcrush will release a live record with Sidsel Endresen. Taylor/ Brunborg/ Jormin/ Strønen will release our debut! And the new sampler- book/ records from Rune Grammofon has just come out. And not to forget the international release of Humcrush Rest at Worlds End.
I am off to Gambia for 3 weeks now. See you in 2009!
Humcrushs new record Rest at worlds end is now out!
Humcrush will release their new live album -rest at worlds end- on rune grammofon Nov. 3rd. In addition to the cd, a double vinyl with exclusive live material will be available for sale. The vinyl offers more then thirty extra minutes, for the freaks out there! On top of that, Kim Hiorthøy has tried out a new techique to design the sleve, so it will be something for the eye aswell!
At the moment I am writing music for a Norwgian documentary by Odd Einar Engebretsen. It will be shown on TV2 in spring 2009.
Humcrush have now put its last touch on the new Humcrush live- cd. It will come out as a cd wih 50minutes of live material and also as a double vinyl with eighty minutes of joy. It is now being mastered by Helge Sten and will be out later this fall.

We are still working on the new Humcrush record and it looks like it will be out on Rune Grammofon this fall.

I will be going to Japan in the beginning of June to perform with the great vocal performer Koichi Makigami and koto player Michiyo Yagi.
Tore Brunborg and I have started a new group with Brittish pianoplayer JohnTaylor and Swedish bassplayer Anders Jormin. The quartet will play at Molde Jazzfestival July 19th. and Dølajazz Oct. 17th. For other dates in fall, see the touring scedule.
Humcrush will tour Europe with Sidsel Endresen Oct. 20th- Nov. 2nd.
Food will play with the fantastic guitarist Christian Fennesz this summer. Premiere at Molde Int. Jazzfestival. I will also do a duo concert with Fennesz at Saalfelden Jazzfestival.
Pohlitz and Mcfalls chamber will play at Victoria Scene April 28th.The string ensemble and Pohlitz will perform the music written for Grieg 100 in UK and also two new pieces. NRK radio will record and broadcast the concert.
A new trio lineup with Jon Balke and Nils Olav Johansen will have a premiere at Nattjazz, Bergen, May 29th.
In April, Thomas will tour Russia with Nils Petter Molvær and Eivind Aarset.
Pohlitz and McFalls chamber will once again perform my music written for string quartet and drums. The concert will take place at Nordlys Festival in Tromsø Jan. 26th.
Maria Kannegaard trio is now (6th-9th of Jan) in Bugges room to record a new record. Release will be on Jazzland Records in August this year.

Pohlitz with McFalls Chamber has just toured Scottland to celebrate Grieg. 7 newly written string pieces saw the light of day. Next up for this project will be the nothern lights festival in Tromsø, 26th of january, 2008.
Foods 5th record is on its way and will be called molecular gastronomi. Release on Rune Grammofon is set to november. The record feature Iain and Thomas in interplay with Maria Kannegaard and Ashley Slater, produced by Thomas.
Food will play later this year with Jan Bang and Nils Petter Molvær.
I have just been rehearsing with the McFall Chamber quartet and it sounds fantastic.
Dates for fall are now starting to be updated. It will be an exciting end of 2007 with premiere of composed material for string quartet and Pohlitz for the celebration of Grieg in Scotland. I have spend the last 18months writing and am much looking forward to perform it with the great McFalls chamber quartet.
Another highlight is the 5th record relase for Food!
For Humcrush fans out there; Humcrush will do a small tour in the US in September and a tour with the legendary norwegain singer Sidsel Endresen in December!

I have spend the last few days recording a duo record with Maria Kannegaard. Maria used Fender Rhodes with effects and the result is some stunning low fi, post-rock, noise improv.

I started this year with writing a 45min piece for eight musicians for the opening of the new concerthall at The Royal academy of Music, Oslo. The concert took place 25th of Jan. on a tripple night with Jon Balke and Tore Brunborg.
Mapsadaisical rated Pohlitz as number 4 on 20 best albums of 2006!
Web magazine The Milk Faktory has put Pohlitz on 6th. place on list of 20th best records for 2006!
Soundfix Records has also rated Pohlitz on 6th. place for best experimental record in 2006!
Humcrush recorded a nine gigs tour this fall and it will end up on a disc. (Thanks to brilliant recording by Alex Fiennes) Ståle and I will meet later this spring to do the edit.

Food has recorded a new album and it´s now in the hands of producer Ashley Slater (UK). It´s recorded live in studio in London, with som el-piano adds from Maria Kannegaard, and later edited and preproduced by me. The record is due to release later this year on Rune Grammofon.
